Hello Cleveland-area IEEE student members-

Come join IEEE-USA in celebrating the 40th year of student professional awareness programming!  In addition to celebrating with pizza/cake, there will be multiple sessions focusing on early career advice.  The event will be hosted at Cleveland State University’s Urban Affairs Building (1717 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44115) on Friday, November 1st.  This free event is available to any student member of IEEE.  See below for a schedule of the event:

3:00pm-4:00pm: Panel Discussion: Working for Startups vs. Working for Large Companies
Is working for a startup better than working for a large company?  Learn from multiple panelists in this session!  Panelists include: people who work for startups, people who work for large companies, and people who have worked for both.  Following introductions of each panelist, a guided Q&A chat will give attendees an opportunity to learn about the pros/cons of each option.

4:00pm-5:30pm: Noitanigami:imaginatioN
As the Walt Disney Imagineers like to say, “It’s kinda fun to do the impossible.”  Learn from a Disney Imagineer how new techniques can help turn your world upside-down so you can think more creatively and innovatively.

5:30pm-6:30pm: The Ball is in Your Court
Join one of the founders of the student professional awareness program for pizza/cake and learn practical ideas for starting and maintaining your career.
