In this role she is responsible for the Orion European Service Module (ESM) and oversight of the Argonaut Integration Team supporting NASA’s Moon Base program. As the manager of the Orion ESM Integration Office, Katie is responsible for working with international partners to develop, build, deliver, integrate and operate the ESM as part of the Orion spacecraft for NASA’s Artemis missions. She led the ESM team through the Certification of Flight Readiness and the Artemis II mission and is currently focusing efforts on Artemis III and future missions.

She took a break from the Orion program for a few years to lead a CubeSat project to experience hands on spaceflight hardware development and full project lifecycle, before returning to the Orion program in the ESM Integration Office (EIO). Since her return to Orion in the ESM Integration Office, she took on increasing responsibilities including Artemis I Mission Evaluation Room (MER) manager and EIO Deputy Manager, before assuming the EIO Manager position.

Katie is a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Biomedical Sciences minor. Outside of work she enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time with her family.
