Preparing for Turkey
November has arrived, along with the leaves changing color (and location) and the onslaught of holiday music. But the Cleveland IEEE has some exciting news as we enter the final months of the year. Our Cleveland State students section has initiated a Women in Engineering affinity group and they had their inaugural event on Oct. 26 with a presentation by Dr. Margaret Nazario, the Optics and Photonics Branch Chief at the NASA Glenn Research Center. We have created a blockchain affinity group that will have its inaugural event in December. And we signed up nine new senior members in October.
The Cleveland Section was also recognized for having increased its membership by almost 10% from 2017. So our web page will now has a shiny new badge….
